Intermatic timer not controlling sprinklers

I have a Intermatic irrigation clock to turn my sprinklers on and off. I recently had to replace the clock motor. The clock is working fine. I can turn the sprinklers on manually but the clock doesn’t turn them on automatically. I changed the tripper but it still doesn’t work automatically. Any suggestion?

Get an entirely new mechanism. The small two-way lever that turns the system on and off is aluminum and can get so worn it won't trip when it should.
