Intelliflo vsf pump wattage

Hello,
I'm a pool owner, not a pro, and I'm trying to figure out if the wattage on my pump is really high. (Picture of my old chlorine pool is attached - maybe 25,000 gallons?)
New as of last year:
Intelliflo vsf
Jandy 400K btu JXI400NK heater
Polaris Quattro sport cleaner
Old: Tagelus deluxe sand filter

Pump is running 2850 rpm (to kick on the heater, although maybe we could lower it?) for 7 hours/day.
When the pump is on (but heater and Polaris sweep are off) the wattage is 1340 watts. (Flow is 56 gpm.) Isn't this wattage really high?

1340 watts at 2850 RPM is actually a little on the low side which probably indicates that the head loss in the plumbing is a little bit higher than normal. Lower the RPM until the heater will not turn on, then raise it 200 rpm.

Does the pump need to be at this speed to trigger the heater's pressure switch?

What is the filter pressure?

The heater only requires 40 gpm, so you don't need 56 gpm.

If we model your system at y=0.01785x^2, then you should be able to drop the rpm down to about 2,150 to get about 41 gpm at about 30 feet of head.
