Looking for someone who is familiar with the SunTouch controller programming. My controller is turning on my pump at high speed and runs all day that way. I can't figure out how to get it to turn on at a lower RPM, kick up to higher RPM when booster pump turns on, then come back down when booster turns off.

When I unplug the SunTouch controller from the pump I am able to operate the pump at different speeds, but I do not have a digital readout display to know the RPM.

Hi Jim!

Yes, the IntelliFlo is connected to the SunTouch using an RS-485. The pump does get constant power.

I have assigned all 4 speeds.

When I turn on the pool circuit it sounds like it's running at 3100RPM, which I assigned to Speed 4. Shouldn't it start at Speed 1? It stays at the high speed the entire schedule from 8-5pm. I'm tired of the electric bill and wear on the pump.

I cannot get it to come down in RPM unless I press the down arrow on the actual pump. But once the schedule starts for the next day it turns on at full speed again.

MDC,

Just to be clear.. Did you assign the speeds inside the pump or inside the SunTouch?

I do not have a SunTouch (Thank goodness..) so I'll need to check out the manual again, but it should work similar to how the EasyTouch works. You assign speeds to "Circuits" and when the circuit turns on the assigned speed runs. When two or more circuits are on at the same time, the one with the highest speed wins. It sounds to me like you have assigned 3450 to the pool circuit that is most likely on all the time. (Just a guess..)

Tell me what speeds you assigned to which circuits.

Thanks,

Jim R.
