Intellichlor IC20 - powers on briefly, then no lights

Hello,

I have an Intellichlor IC20 that powers on briefly, then all of the lights on the cell go out. Green light stays illuminated on the control board and all wiring looks ok.

The troubleshooting shown in the manual leaves a lot to be desired. I have a multimeter and plan on checking for continuity and voltage is the control box. What voltage does the transformer put out?

Any other troubleshooting tips would be appreciated. Thanks

The transformer puts out about 24 VAC. The power going to the cell should be about 35 to 40 VDC.

How old it the cell, it is most likely bad, but you need to make sure by testing the Power Center's output.

Thank you sir. I will check those voltages. I believe the cell is older as it is faded from exposure to the sun. Instead of replacing the cell, I am considering switching to a Circupool Edge 25 or 40. Any thoughts on Circupool Edge series?

A lot of people here have CircuPool SWCG's and like them. Most of the reviews have been very positive.

I don't have any personal experience with them, but if I did not have a Pentair automation system, they would be my first choice.
