Intellicenter disable firmware updates?

Last year I upgraded to 2.007 and VSF pump kept getting turned off. I had to cycle the breaker to get the pump back on. I eventually downgraded to 1.067 and stayed there. Recently I noticed that 2.017 is installed and I did not install it.

Is there a way to disable auto updates? I just use it to schedule pumps/lights and report to HASS for graphs. I have no need for the new features.

As a last measure I can just disable internet access for that MAC address so I can still use the app in local mode but trying to avoid that.

Thanks a bunch.

If you run your own DNS resolver or use some sort of network-wide service for ad/malware blocking (e.g., Pi-hole, pfBlockerNG, OpenDNS content filtering, etc.), you can simply block access to the Pentair update server.

Do you happen to know the url for the update server it uses? I have pihole so can create regex.

I don't, sorry. But Intellicenter shouldn't be making outbound connections to lots of domains, so if you can monitor or log DNS requests from the Intellicenter, it should be easy to spot the name of the update server.

Or Pentair might tell you if you call and ask.
