I have a set of spillways on an intelliflow vsp pump. I usually turn on with the ScreenLogic app, but I noticed it stopped responding. I can turn it on by switching it on with the app then manually pushing the ‘3’ button on the pump. It runs for a little while then shuts off. Is the pump not coming out of priming mode then shutting off? Any advice how to address or diagnose?

Thank you!
Adam

Adam,

When the pump is being controlled by the EasyTouch, the buttons on the pump should not work..

When the EasyTouch is in AUTO, what does the display on the pump show?? It should show "Display not active", which means the EasyTouch is in control.

If the pump shows an RPM screen, it means that your have lost the RS-485 com port.

Please tell me what you find..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thanks Jim, it is showing 0 RPM and I noticed there is no Com cable plugged into it. I had some guys doing landscape work around the pool equipment and I thought maybe they unplugged it by accident. But the problem is, I can’t find the cable.

Adam,

I doubt the cable just got up and walked away..

Could you ever control the speed of the water feature pump via the EasyTouch??

If not, it could be that they are just turning the pump on and off via an aux relay and that all the speed programming is inside the pump.

Does one of your Aux buttons on the EasyTouch list this pump? If you do, you should look at that Aux relay and see if the pump is connected to it. They could be using the Aux relay to turn the pump on and off, or they could just be using the button (and no relay) to turn the pump on Via the RS-485 cable. We need to know which option they are using.

Thanks,

Jim R.
