infinity pool water levels

I am having a major issue with this brand new pool! We bought the house after it was put in and it has been a fight everyday. Please someone help. I have never had an infinity edge pool so the equipment looks like spaghetti to me. The pool builder is totally ghosting us and refuses to help. One basin empties into the other then overflows over the coping every day. Updated the pictures I took today

Welcome to TFP.
My first suggestion is to get some painters blue tape and a black sharpie. It is best to mark flow direction first then try to figure out what each pipe is coming from.
You have 2 pumps. Start there. Start with the one that connects to the filter. The horizontal pipe into the pump is suction from the pool/spa/basin. So put blue tape and an arrow going towards the pump. The vertical pipe after the pump basket is the exit. Put blue tape and an arrow pointing away from the pump Continue that for all pipe work. The filter should have marked on the bottom the inlet pipe and outlet pipe So put the appropriate arrows on those pipes.

We can then address the specific pipes after you have done this on both pumps

EDIT - I should add that after all the pipes are marked the best you can - take more pictures and some should be from a wider angle so we can see the whole equipment pad from different sides.

It's disconcerting that your builder is ghosting you already. Luckily we have a lot of people here familiar with this design and operation. I'm still learning and tweaking controls somewhat but I'd like to see a video and your observations for diverter valve position at the point levels go above the level sensor. What kind of automation do you have?

I hope someone here can help me! I have built and owned pools for 30 years but this pool is a nightmare. The pool builder is useless and will not help. This pool is green at least once a week so we have not been able to use it!
It’s a 38k gallon chlorine pool with Spa with a DE filter and in ground cleaning system. We have been in constant repair mode, we have repaired the pump for the in ground system. We have also repaired the hoses to the Chlorine system ( you add tablets to a PVC thing. I have always had salt pool so this chlorinated is also new to me. There are 4 pumps and the floor cleaner one. The troughs and the chair deck stay green continuously. One of the skimmers has zero flow to it. The smallest pump is the one for the pool and the rest do various bubblers and other ridiculous water features. There are no labels so it feels impossible to trace anything

Yes we found that the drain between the two was blocked. But that doesn’t explain all the issues with water usage because we cleaned this drain a month ago

It's disconcerting that your builder is ghosting you already. Luckily we have a lot of people here familiar with this design and operation. I'm still learning and tweaking controls somewhat but I'd like to see a video and your observations for diverter valve position at the point levels go above the level sensor. What kind of automation do you have?

The builder built the pool for the previous owner who only lived in the house for 18 months. I think the pool was finished right before closing. Three days after closing it was completely green

Can you also tell me how you put your pool details on your profile

Go to Settings on the left side. Then go to Account Details. You can add info on Pool Size, Surface, etc.

You have some details there already. Put as much as you feel necessary.

Do you have any idea how long ago it was plastered? Was the pool ever clear when you saw it? If it's just algae it will be easy to clean up crystal clear. If you're still in the 30 day window you shouldn't SLAM to clean it up. Also, are you on well water by chance? Below is what my well water pool looked like first day and 4 days later. I still have some construction finish work in progress but the point is ugly water can be fixed up pretty quickly with TFP methods whether it's well water related or algae. And on a new pool you've got to be careful what you do since it takes 28 days for the initial cure and doing that part right dramatically improves plaster life.

Now that it stopped raining I finally took a stab at the flow. This is my attempt at pictures and videos

The A&A circular item with a bunch of pipes going down into ground is an In Floor Cleaning System (IFCS). This is all the pop ups on the bottom of the pool . Each pipe is a different zone. So it rotates between all the zones on some set time interval.

Your feature pump is most likely drawing water from a side drain. Do you have on the sides of your wall 2 round drains?

I think the black round device sitting in front of the pumps is a leaf filter - I am not positive because I could not figure out any inlet or outlet pipes to it.

For sure you have a lot a of pipes running all over. You did a good job in marking flow direction.

Maybe show some photos of the pool overall, where the features are and zoom in on the various drains in the spa and pool

I have two side drains, and I think it is a leaf basket just not sure what it is for. We moved into the house permanently so I can get more information about the pool. It has a lot of green despite the constant scrubbing. Any chance the DE filter isn’t adequate for filtration?

The wall drains support the water feature and the leaf filter is just to catch large items

A DE filter is good - what size is it? They come in sizes such as 40, 50, 60 sq ft.

I will check but the pump through the filter system is 2.7GPM. Is that sufficient?
