Indents in liner

Hi All - I've had my pool for probably 7 years and for some reason it seems like this particular year in the corners of the pool there are indents probably about 6"x6" triangles or squares that seemingly appeared out of nowhere. We used the foam cove and sand when it was installed. Our pool is in a low spot in the yard so rain water does pile up around the pool before going into the ground. We also used pavers on the legs. There's maybe 5-7 spots all around the pool corners/edges where the floor meets the wall that have these indents

Is the liner in any danger of tearing. It seems ok when looking at it or feeling it but I don't know what could have happened. The pool is near the house so I'm nervous about that

Hoping I don't have to drain the pool and fix and buy a new liner and install. Thank you.

depends. if the foam cove is holding good it might be ok. if sand is washing out you kind of need to figure out why. if it was a one time event things might be fine, just lumpy on the bottom. if it is going to continue you might need to solve that. not sure about NY conditions, but when I had a regular liner pool the liner was in need of changing before 10 years so if yours is showing sun damage at the waterline or other issues it might be time to just do that. then you can see what is going on underneath. if you can't tell now.

if ground under sand was rough or rocky that might be an issue as liner stretches and contacts but for just some low spots it should be ok. you don't want it getting right next to the juncture of the wall and ground though. the liner will push under the wall and that will pinch and cause failure for sure.
