Per my test results today I have CH of 275 and need to buy something to increase calcium hardness. Here in Florida we don’t really need ice melt of course but I can order some from Walmart or Home Depot or anywhere really. Is this ok to use? Any better options?

What is the CH of your fill water. 275 is ok. If you have high CH fill, your CH will rise over time with evaporation. If you add more now, your window before water replacement gets shorter.

Test CH on your fill water and post that result.

Ok I will try to do that tomorrow. I don’t know if it’s evaporation or a leak but I do have to add water to the pool somewhat often.

Just tested the fill water for the pool and CH is 75.

Then I'd raise it to 350 and monitor. Your CH will decline when you lose water to overflow/splashout.

Sno Jo is ok, but CH the one thing I buy from the pool store. Then I know it is pure.

Thanks for the recommendation. I see the SnowJoe says 95-99% sodium chloride, so maybe that's why it's so cheap. Pinch A Penny website shows Suncoast Calcium Hardness Increaser at 100% sodium chloride compound and it's $47 for 25lb.
