Inaccurate Aquarite salt readings

Several weeks ago, my Hayward Aquarite went into alarm with Check Salt and and Inspect Cell showing 2300 as the salt reading. It was after an extended rain so I, gulp, assumed the pool was actually low on salt. 80 lbs later I noticed no change in the reading. I then checked the actual pool salt with Leslie’s salt strips and got a 3800 (dealing with that now).

Going down the troubleshooting list, the next step was to replace my Hayward Turbocell T-15. It has been 7 years since I last had to replace it, so it kinda made sense. I was unable to locate a Hayward replacement so I picked one up from Blue Works. Installing it, the new reading is now showing up as 1600. I tried the Hayward troubleshooting for resetting the average but -1600 is the starting point. Not sure what gives, but I need guidance on what steps to take next.

Power reverse polarity:
same exact settings except for the temp 30 second voltage (25.3 goes to 31.9) and amps (3.55 goes to 0)

Is there a way to change the 1600 reading outside of the Hayward average reset which does not work? Is this a board issue? Surely it cannot be two bad cells.
 
Follow up: Amazon finally delivered the new salt cell on Friday, almost 4 weeks after I ordered it. It is a different model number than originally sent to me. New model BLW2T15HCS. Obviously a T15 model as opposed to the T3 model originally delivered. New T15 greened right up, and I am operatIonal again. 😀

Amazon still has no record of shipping me the T3. Guess I now have an extraneous T3 cell.
