Improve Circulation in our Intex Ultra Frame 16 x 32 above ground pool

New to this site, did search but didn’t find many threads. We are on our 2nd year with our Intex Ultra Frame 16 x 32 above ground pool. We’re finding circulation to be a bit lacking in oooomph. The water comes out and shoots across the pool and then circulates back around to the wall mount skimmer which is about useless in my opinion. We’re getting gunk built up in the corners, something we didn’t think about when purchasing a rectangular pool. We use an Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater system w/sand filter.

If the gunk in the corners is just dirt, then that's pretty much how it goes. Your one return isn't going to generate enough flow to stop this from happening throughout the entire pool. I have a 16 x 32 inground with 2 returns and dirt collects in various places on the bottom. This is why most inground pools have some type of cleaning systems - either a suction/pressure or robot cleaner... or some other vacuum approach - if it's just in the corners, maybe look into one of those underwater dust busters (forget their name, but essentially a battery powered underwater vacuum in a stick).

If the gunk in the corners is not dirt, then maybe you have a chemical problem or need to brush the pool once in a while (or more often).
