Blowing chips under the tanning ledge for a rock solid base.
That is interesting. I will be watching for the video of them actually using the hose. It seems like that could get out of hand quickly as well. As you said, the opportunity to lift the pool. I can also see the opportunity for it to damage the fiberglass if a stone goes flying. This is something I have never seen done before.Blowing chips under the tanning ledge for a rock solid base.
They have been doing this for awhile and never reported having a stone go through the wall or floor of the pool. That shell is pretty thick. The bottom is even thicker at almost 3" the dad said. That's why he wont add bubblers anymore because he did it once n didn't have enough to screw the threaded pipe to the bubbler. He also said he will not add main drains to the pool because it's a source for leaking down the road. He said one guy refused to take no for an answer n within 5 years it leaked n he had to seal it. He told me with proper flow (which I have) I'll never need a main drain and I have heard it here on TFP throughout the years and I know he's right. That is interesting. I was sitting on the first step... butt on tanning ledge looking into the pool. I claimed my spot in front of the return jet going down the long wall. He was only going to do one jet in tanning ledge n I told him I want another. LolThe last pic in post 567
Frick that pool is big.![]()

Water will go half way up the second step. Should be there by 11pm. I want to make sure I hit the mark before bed because they are coming back in morning n hopefully we'll do some plumbing and equipment and top off the gravel and get ready for bonding.Looks like you're adding more water. How much more do they want you to put in? Put on some shorts and dangle your feet in the water.
I am absolutely thrilled with my builders. They are a father n 2 sons team. I would be lying if I told you I didn't have a soft spot for Dad. He reminds me so much of my Dad. I absolutely give that old man hugs before he leaves for the day. That is looking fantastic! Those guys sure sound/appear to know what they are doing!
