Hi. We’re starting a DIY Steel wall vinyl IG pool next week and have a question regarding the excavation and prepping the site. The pool is a free form 16’ x 34’ x 5’ deep (flat bottom pool). We fully expect to have to remove some ledge or large rocks from one side of the dig. In doing so, it will most likely result in an over dig in some places and we will need to bring the base back up to form the shelf for the walls to sit on. I saw one post where someone created concrete piers at each wall joint, but I was wondering if there was another method? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.

That's a tough pool to build honestly. Steel wall flat bottoms have an angle around the whole pool and the stairs are tricky. Make sure to save the liner measurements otherwise it will coat you a laser measure one day. You can use clean 3/4 stone to build back up. If you have access to a jumping Jack you could use DGA but you must compact the snot out of it.
