This was the best opening of the pool in the last 7 years thanks to you guys and TFP. We have a couple of stain spots which I originally thought were organic but the spot I tested did not lighten up when I held a puck over it for a few minutes. So we went to the store last night and got some vitamin C tablets. Got home and crushed about 10 of them up inside a sock and tried it on the one spot. It instantly cleared the spot and it has yet to come back.
I have been doing a lot of reading from treating with AA and sequestration to shocking and vacuuming to waste. Our water is crystal clear and other than the liner being older it is pretty decent for it's age. I have a link below to a few photos on my google photo album to show what the spots look like. We do fill the water from our well which does have trace amounts of iron. I have had the pool at shock level twice in the last year and never had an issue with iron or metal precipitating or discoloring the water.
I was thinking about just putting vitamin C in the sock and swimming around to the different spots and clean each one. Would this be a possibility or am I better off doing the Proteam Metal Magic?
