I have a cell blank from Pentair that I used before I fired up the IC60 last spring for the first time. Would it be a good idea to go ahead and store the IC60 indoors and install the blank now that water temps are too low for generation? If i go that route, is there anything more I need to do in the IntelliCenter other than unplug the RS-485 cable? I have a Stenner I can use to dose bleach for the winter.

TIA

Col,

I have three saltwater pools with IC40 cells.. I have never taken the cells out in the winter, and as far as I can tell it has made no difference.

That said, I do not have the blank cell.. It can't hurt, I just don't know that there is any real upside.

I'm going to send you a PM..

Thanks,

Jim R.

I only bring my cell inside in NY so it doesn't sit in a potential snow drift for a month. If i lived somewhere warmer like TX that doesn't get much snow, I would just leave it in place.

That said, you have the dummy pipe in hand and it can't hurt to get some use out of it.
