iAqualink - Brand new equipment, how to upgrade to Rev R

Hey Guys -

So I'm in the punch list phase of my new pool build. Everything's running great. Have the Jandy PDA and the Jandy PureLink Aqualink RS Standard Power Center. (Model numbers: IQ20-A, 6613AP, PDA-PS6)

Much to my surprise and dismay, all of this brand new equipment and all I can do with my phone or Aqualink web account is turn things on and off. I can't schedule, can't control the variable speeds of my pump, etc. All of that has to be done with the PDA. While I can figure things out on the PDA, it is not terribly intuitive and I want the cleaner interface of my phone. (In the process of talking to PB about all of this, but he is not very tech forward.)

After trying to figure this all out (the tech rep at Zodiac seemed completely perplexed by this - as if it never happens), it seems I need to get a new Rev R chip for my Power Center. When I look online, all I can find are upgrade kits with the antenna, which I already have.

Anyone know where I can get just the Rev R chip? Is this even a possibility?

Thanks for the help.

lol - yeah my builder did the same thing to me. All you need is the below to upgrade to the full iAqualink which makes your web/phone interface primary and the PDA the secondary. Jandy sent me the board for free after I explained what my PB did to me. They were appalled at the poor service that I was getting. The IQ20-A is around $150 less than the IQ20-RS, which is what they should have gotten for you.

Note the picture of the PCB board is my old PDA board that was replaced with an identical unit that reversed the PDA and Phone roles.

I bet it’s old stock and until their gone they still get sold.

Last year I told my PB I didn’t want the PDA. He said why and I said I have phones and tablets in the house why do I need another device that can break? He said good point. He talked to his Jandy rep and said yup we can do that and said it would save a few hundred dollars that we put towards a tile upgrade.

Now if if I had only know they make a aqualink and auqupure power center. I would have upgraded that so I didn’t have to buy the parts to upgrade it for my swcg.
