iAqualink 3.0 System - Possible to Reflash RS-4 Combo to Pool Only

We are having a new pool installed. Excuse the color, it's been cleaned since. But we are still waiting on concrete guy for the rest of the deck.



The upper section is a tanning ledge (not a spa) with a return and bubbler. Each of those is on a Jandy automated valve. It has no separate drain, just the spillover/waterfall into the main pool.

In order to get a good package deal on the valves, the pool company ordered an RS-4 Combo Pool/Spa unit. The combo unit works, but the app interface is cluttered with useless toggles and temps for a Spa I don't have and will never need (have a hot tub).

Is it possible to reflash the firmware on the RS-4 Combo board (currently on Rev. Yg) to make it a pool only controller? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks!

No, it is not flashable. Jandy does not support flash updates. You need a new PCB board like the below. You might find one on eBay that matches what you are looking for. The below is my original PDA board that I replaced with an RS version.

BTW: I like your pool design! But are those both skimmers on the bottom left corner?

As to your question...there is just one skimmer at the end of the pool. The round thing on the side is the cover for the sump pit. It's needed if they ever had to drain the pool to make sure no water sits around the outside.

Once you see the cost of that single-body daughter board, you will likely decide you can live with the extra "bells and whistles."
