i am stuck in a situation

So I have a vynle pool in a high water table. Low Country SC to get exact.

i bought the house that came with the pool and i knew that the liner needs to be replaced. Brittle and over chemicalized after only 6 years.

Also the well point under the liner is not working. Well point is there so that when it rains heavy i turn my pump on and point to the well point to take water out from underneath liner. This prevents the liner from floating and dislodging from the sides.

Since we got a hurricane last week my liner got dislodged and pool turned green. i manually put a pump behind liner to drain the water but it also drains the water from the pool. it looks like there might be some holes in the liner.

i can’t put the liners back in the grooves no matter how hard i try. it just won’t stick it pops back out. So currently my pool is green and half full with parts of the liner detached. when i try to fill the pool back up the water gets behind the liner which is rusting my boards.

In september i am having liner replaced, boards resurfaced and the well point dug up and fixed. Can i leave my pool as is half full until September?

Im never a fan of letting water just seep into the ground uncontrolled due to how much damage it can cause. If you have a way to pump it out, thats what I would do. But your ground water issue might affect that.

Level is probably going to ebb and flow with ground water table, especially in the low country. I'd be more concerned about mosquito control, unless you keep it empty with a sump pump in it and leave it running 24/7 or one with a float level switch. I have a similar issue with high ground water table and I busted out a spot in the bottom hopper (vermiculite bottom/wood walls) and put a sump in with a float to keep it dry until I was able to get my new liner installed. Repaired vermiculite and rock backfill right before the install.

In your situation, I'd probably get the well point fixed and suck it dry
