I am guessing this salt cell can’t be cleaned, anyone know of a bypass for Jandy?

Was having problems with the pool not looking as clean.

Checked the salt cell and it is completely like calcium inside.

Any chance on saving it?

I was trying to find a bypass for Jandy, any not coming with anything , also was thinking buying the treaded fittings and making a bypass pipe myself, but not finding those either.

Would just by another cell, but it’s wintertime.

Welcome to TFP! I'm still not seeing a Jandy bypass dummy cells. But I agree with James, since the cell is probably toast, give it a good bath in muriatic acid. For good cells we normally see a 4-1 ratio of water to acid recommended. YOU could do that, or perhaps even go 50-50. Either way, acid should do the trick and open up that clogged artery. :).

Now to find out how long it lasts, if it still works, since the acid will have eaten some of the rare earth elements off the plates - maybe a lot of it. Additionally, now you need to see how high your CH is and get it reduced, probably by draining the pool.
