Hurry up and wait to re-install replacement liner, etc

WATER in the pool - about 2" so far. This makes me so much less crabby. However, on a side note, 2 of the short 8" stablizer track/rail pieces that go on the solid side uprights are missing! They are jury rigged right now, the top rail is not on obviously until we find them - I had all the pieces layed out exactly as I removed them and even numbered some parts so they would go back where they came from. My guess is the boys moved them or buried them when shoveling out the sand. Time to start digging through the sand - It's just going to be one thing after another! At least it is warm - we are headed for 82 today so a good day for water filling.

UPDATE: 7pm CST - one ouchy sunburn later I have the pool assembled again, about 8"-9" of water maybe - so far so good. I already added sequesterant because I know we have iron in our water. Yay, things are moving along finally!!! Thinking maybe we should put the drop in steps back in when its about half full or wait until full? Any thoughts?

Down to 54 deg last night so water turned off until this morning. Expecting 82 deg again today so water is on now and filling.

1:30pm - Over a foot of water and Pool Rover Jr already in the pool to begin filtering some bugs, tree junk and Crud out as we fill - bleach has been added to prevent algae growth in this warm weather.

Well the pool is filled up to just under the return so in the morning we cut out the skimmer and return from the liner and get the equipment and plumbing installed. That water certainly needs filtering - wow. There is iron in the water for sure so we got the sequesterant going. I have been running the Pool Rover Jr from the time the water was deep enough to run it so I began adding chlorine and a bit of dichlor - a few pounds of CYA is in a sock floating around suspended from a 10" chunk of pool noodle, more to go in once we have circulation from the pump. Yowsa our well water is icy cold - 54 degrees!!! Once the solar panels are hooked in tomorrow we should see an increase in temp. Chemical levels will get tested once we see circulation.

We had thunderstorms yesterday with hail and high winds so we did not finish installing the skimmer and return till this morning. Everything is in place now we just need to top off the last bit of water so the pump can be turned on. Boy it needs filtration - the water is so gross looking but the filter and proper chems will clean that up as soon as we can circulate and of course the circulation through the solar panels should start bumping up the temps nicely too. Correct amounts of CYA added to a couple of different recepticles in the last couple of days so that will get there when it gets there. SWG was placed, control panel for it installed and all our wiring is done.

So now we just wait to see what is or isn't leaking, let things warm up and relax for now. Must be time to jump on a horse or a Harley for a ride.
