First time home owner, first time pool owner, and life long computer scientist. This has become the largest ongoing chemistry experiment of my life. Our pool is healthy and clear but I wanted to be able to self-test and self-correct any imbalances. I found the PoolMath Calculator while attempting to uncover the math behind the question "How much muriatic acid do I need?" (great javascript btw). I have purchased the TF-Pro test kit and it's working great. Ya'll have a TON of great information on this site. I hope to learn ways to a trouble-free pool.
