How to switch from pristine blue to chlorine

I have used pristine blue for 3 years in my above ground pool 10,000 gal. Doesn’t get clear even after adding all the store suggests. I was afraid of the chemicals with using chlorine. I wasn’t aware of pristine blue having problems. I still add a gal of chlorine every week so I guess it’s not chlorine free. Would like advise on haw to switch to chlorine. I can not empty my pool of the water. Please help

A quick google search revealed this product contains copper, if the copper levels are high, draining the water is the only solution.
