I'd be shocked if my cover lasts through the winter. How do people keep these things from blowing around so much?

I added pool wrap. It doesn't do anything on the long straight sides of the pool.

I put water on top. The wind pushed it to one side.

I added water tubes. The wind pushed it to one side.

What's the trick?20221103_090501.jpg

Personally I'd add more water so that the whole inside was submerged in a couple inches worth and less likely to blow.

This has been an issue for many before you and there are some crafty solutions if you search and comb through the results.

Here's 2:

I've found those black slide on clips to be very effective, and more water on top. One winter I ran a rope across the middle of the pool, tight to the top rail to pin the cover down and anchored one side to the birdhouse pole and the other to a deck post, then did a second rope the other way kind of cutting the pool in quarters if you can picture that. It worked pretty well.
