Pool deck is pea gravel in an epoxy that hasn’t been properly maintained.

Piece of gravel are all coming loose and several areas of spalling.

Realize it’s a horrible option for a deck - dated, hot, rough on feet - and needs to be removed and replaced. But the objective right now is to do something that will get us by for two more seasons until the entire deck can be replaced.

Will filling the spalls with gravel and recoating the entire deck with a layer of epoxy do the trick?

Besides pressure washing and allowing to dry, any prep work that needs to be done?

What type of epoxy is needed to do this?

With no replies to this point, I though it best to check in and see if you made a decision about that decking. Any updates?

Pool was closed for the remainder of the summer.

Prez got a quote from our pool guy that was reasonable, so Board members voted to have him remove it and replace with [something else].

Whether or not that actually happens . . . ?

I’ll be back looking for help if not!
Tks for checking in!
