I usually weekly test our water on Saturday and add muriatic acid as need, usually 1-1/2 pints.
I tested my water again today (Tuesday) halfway through the week just to see what it shows and the pH is already back to where it was on Saturday and requiring
another 1-1/2 pints of acid.
Is this normal?
How often should I be testing and adding acid?

What is your TA? Can you post a full set of results? FC, CC, pH, TA, CH, CYA.
When you test pH, what is it? What do you lower pH to? (i.e Saturday it was 8, I lowered to 7.2, now on Tuesday is is 8 again)
Do you have water features?

High TA causes pH rise. Do you know the TA of your fill water? (test it). High TA fill water can cause acid demand (pH rise).
Low pH causes pH rise. If you are lowering pH to 7, for example, it will rise faster than if you are lowering your pH to 7.6.
Water features that aerate will cause pH rise.
If you use a solar cover (not likely in FL), solar cover will slow CO2 outgassing and SLOW pH rise.
New plaster will cause pH rise. This typically only lasts for 6-18 months. In some cases, there are pools that have ongoing pH rise, it might lessen, but doesn't abate.
