Fighting a get slimy algae this opening and cartridge filter appears to be getting dirty very quickly (every 24 hours). Do I clean everyday or continue to run. SLAM process is taking more time this year but need to also do a better job at maintaining it
How often do I clean cartridge filter in SLAM process?

You clean the filter as often as you have to. Could be once a day, could be once an hour. It just depends on what's in the water. If there is a bunch of visible stuff, a nylon or a hairnet stretched over the skimmer basket might catch the worst of it. They're a lot easier to clean or replace than the filter cartridge.
