How much was your pool?

I just put in a "pool" - Intex - 15'x42" temporary one. I figured it would be a good dirt cheap test to see if it holds up (more than a few weeks) and how much we use it. It's been great so far and I definitely think it'll be worth upgrading next year or the year after. I may just go with an above ground but growing up my friends grandparents had a nice big in ground with diving board and slide and we spent many many hours in that thing - lots of great memories.

Anyway, just curious how much certain pools cost. I realize the sky is the limit, but thought if people are willing to share it may give others like myself a feel for what you can get for the $.

You are going to see a wide variety of prices depending on the region, materials, equipment, extras, and time of year. I think the best approach is to get an idea what your dream pool would have, and then start pricing it out. Look at some of the build threads in the Under Construction forum. Sometimes the costs are listed in the thread, and if it is not you can send a private message to ask for the information.

Ya the results will basically be 10k-90k.

If you go with a permanent pool, do it right, not cheap. Doesn't have to cost a fortune but if you go for an in ground pool you do not want plumbing issues once its built. Also if you go vinyl liner, ask about the process of replacing the liner, or the coping so that you could have the decking around the coping best set up for looks and function.
