How much suction should been seen when using a standard vacuum?

I have a new 1.0 HP Tidalwave pump and it really gets the water moving and is much quieter than the previous unit we had.

When running the manual vacuum system, how much suction should I be seeing from the unit? are we talking like a house vacuum level of suction here or what?

It is difficult to say because there are so many variables involved. However, if you set up the vacuum properly, it should remove all the debris that the vacuum goes over.

But are you asking the question because something is not going right? Maybe we should start there.
