Hi, I recently moved into a new home with a 18x40 inground pool with an auto cover (need to update current signature). I have one APCP-1700 115-Volt, 1/3 HP, 1745 GPH pump on top of the cover for when it rains (I try to keep it in the center of the cover). It seems to be doing a decent job, but should I pool/cover this size have two pumps or is one sufficient? I attached an image - but please keep in mind it’s been raining hard all day (at least 1”), so I feel it’s not bad based on the volume of rain so far (but please let me know if I’m wrong)
Also, any tips for efficiency when taking the cover off each day, as I’ll have to constantly unplug and remove the pump each time, unless there’s a better way of doing things.
