How long do I need to run the pump on salt pool?

I am upgrading my system to SWG system. I am tired of pouring gallons of chlorine every couple of days.

How long do I need to run the pump per day to keep FC around 5-6?

I currently have a single speed pump 1HP and it is running 8 hours per day. Is it enough for SWG system? My pool size is 15k gallons.

What SWG will you be getting? You can use the "Effects of adding" feature of the Pool Math app to play around with the numbers.

You will need a minimum 30k rated SWCG. The Circupool RJ 30plus is one example.
If you run 12 hrs a day then with SWCG set at 50% it will produce 3ppm of FC daily. This is an average loss per day due to UV and bather load. Remember that a SWCG is designed to maintain a target range not to bring it up. So you would use liquid chlorine to raise to 6ppm and the let the SWCG handle the daily loss.
Conversely, you could run 24 hrs a day and set the SWCG at 25%.
There are many variables to all the settings, pump run times, etc. If you only want to run 8 hrs a day then the SWCG would need to be set at 75%. If that is the scenario then you should get the next larger size by going to a CiruPool RJ45Plus.
You can download the PoolMath app for free (but it is only $8 a year so it is of great value if you want extra features) and Use the Effects of Adding in the menu to play with all the variables to properly get a handle how you want to run your pool.
