How do I know what pump/filter to buy?

I need to get a new filter/pump combo ASAP.
Eventually I want to add a SWG and a Hot Splash air source heater.

What numbers do I need to consider? Will an Intex sand filter&pump or Intex cartridge filter&pump combo run all of this?

How many gallons is your pool going to be?
I would avoid the Intex cartridge filters as they are too small and inefficient. One of the larger Intex pump and sand filter combos would work for most of the smaller AG pools.
Once you jump to larger equipment from there, I think the price goes up a fair amount and the combo units are usually poorly matched, meaning that often the pump is too big and the filter is too small.
