I have an 1.5 inch pool hose. To use the hose I pull out my skimmer basket and then the hose connects way lower than the basket. My arm is just not long enough. I know that someone has a trick to help here. Now I just keep pushing the hose down and after many tries and tries it will take but does not stay connected. Please help.

Thank you for the reply. On the picture, I can not see to the bottom of the skimmer due to water clarity. There is a location that a hose with a standard connector fits at the bottom. I can get a picture tomorrow. But I do not think it will help.

Are you trying to connect a vacuum hose to your skimmer? Usually you use a plate like this....
