Hiring a pool construction "supervisor" to oversee the work?

We are planning a pool, but with all the fine details to be looked over I can't be there all the time while they are building it.

Has anybody ever hired some kind of outside pool contractor to supervise the workers to make sure everything is being done right?

I know nothing about concrete or rebar or plumbing so I have no clue what to look for.

There is at least 1 company out there that you can hire to help OB a pool, they come onsite for a week and provide the experience, you provide labor and equipment. I spoke to them before we started ours but we decided to go it alone on a vinyl build. A gunite pool is a slightly different animal and I would think you would want to make sure you ar doing it correctly.

Since you are in the DFW area I know a guy that may be willing to do it. He is actually building my pool. You can check out my build in the link on my signature below. Building a pool comes with many stresses and I have complete confidence in my PB. Plus he has contacts if/when you run into issues. Send me a PM and I can give you his contact or answer questions you may have...
