We had a pool installed last year which we have not swam in yet. We are on a high water table and there was nothing installed to deal with the water and now we have a floating liner.
The pool is 20x40 and on one side of the pool there is compacted stone under interlock. They are talking about installing a 450 liter concrete pump chamber. A drainage line connected by gravity drainage goes into a pump chamber. Problem being it sounds like they are only talking about installing drainage line 4-5 feet down. Ontop of that they would not be lifting teh interlock on the other side but relying on the compacted stone to act as the drainage pipe. The deep end of the pool is approx. 8 feet deep.
Anyone have experience with these pump chambers for dealing with ground water? In my search I have not really found a lot of information. It seems well points are more commonly used. Do well points have to be installed right beside the pools or can they be done in proximity of the pools. Say 10-15 feet from pool?
