Just went outside to add more chlorine, I'm in the middle of a SLAM, and I noticed my PSI was very high.....is it OK to turn off the pump for about 12 hours until I can get to change the cartridges out tomorrow?

Once again I am in need of help....

Thanks

Yeah, that's quite high. Nevertheless, turning the pump off for 12 hours ot letting it run would not make too much difference, anyway.

At 40 psi, you are likely getting very little flow. Change out your cartridge today and all should be well. Sorry you didn't get a more timely answer.
