Hi, just did my second pool test after buying a house with a pool.

I added some calcium and stabiliser based on the first test a bit over a week ago.

Today's levels:

FC- 6.5
PH- 7.8
TA- 90
CH- 250
CYA- 60

The CYA is a bit higher than I thought it would be, I was aiming for 50 for the initial add, and the calcium nit as high as I thought.

I'll definitely add more calcium.... Would you try to increase the CYA to 70? I'm tempted to leave it as it, as high CYA seems like a real pain.

The PH and TA are both on the higher end of normal... Should I just let it be, or add some acid?

It seems some people on here get experienced enough to know when to leave it alone, or should I just follow the instructions to the letter?

I think I'll under estimate my additions until I get a bit more experience though, based on the cya slight overshoot.

Agreed, I wouldn't worry about TA @ 90 and pH at 7.8. Both look great to me.
