So silly me thought I had mustard algae.... weird yellowish/light brownish substance in the bottom of our Crystal clean pool. I shocked (according to pool math to MA levels) and brushed it. Did the overnight test and lost 0 chlorine. I suddenly realized my solar cover, deck, grill and car were COVERED in a pollen film. Totally felt silly.
3 days later I've barely lost any chlorine. My ph is 7.8 maybe 8 hard to tell and my TA is 140. I already have some acid on hand to tackle that issue..but my question is...
should I let the chlorine level go down before adjusting TA so I don't drop the PH too much? I have read with high chlorine the PH can look misleadingly high...I'm loving the accuracy of this k2006 kit!
