High CC, low FC

Hi Jason,
Thanks. I figured out what was wrong... and it was indeed my testing method. I had using a completely wrong multiplier when calculating FC and CC. I double checked with my basic Guardex test kit, and my FC is way lower than I thought. It reads right around 2... and if I am reading the Taylor kit (K-2006) correctly, I am getting a reading of around 2 for CC. FYI, PH is right at 7.4 to 7.6.
The water is blue and hazy, and the cartridge filter is clogged again after another swim session yesterday by my son, so I know there is still stuff getting stirred up.
I will clean the cartridge and put 6 gallons of liquid chlorine in to get the pool between shock and mustard shock level. It seems like I am making progress, despite my many mistakes. Any other pointers are greatly welcomed.

Thanks,
David

Do not raise the FC much above shock level, just try to maintain it there.

Hi Jason,
The last post was via my phone. When I try to add a signature, I get a message stating that mobile is not supported. What is also weird is that when I went back to the full site, the last few messages were not posted...
I will continue to monitor the chlorine level, as you have suggested. I ashes off the filter a second time today (psi climbed over 10 pounds since cleaning it this morning), so I feel as if the combination of chlorine and filtration is working.
My kid and his friends used the pool again today, and I tested the water before leaving. It is now holding chlorine, but the PH went back up to the high end of the scale. Still, I am encouraged by the progress...

Thanks for all of your help!
David
