Welcome! You need to do self testing with a recommended test kit such as a Taylor K2006c or TF 100 or TFPro. Do not let the pool store sell you any potions or even test your water for you. Testing yourself will be the most accurate testing you can do and allows you to keep your free chlorine at a level that matches the stabilizer in your pool. This is the CYA/FC relationship that this forum espouses. Read through the Pool School on the left pane and get very familiar with the best way to keep your pool clean and sanitary.
