Hello, my name is Bryan Brooks. I posted here a few years back when I first got my pool and you guys helped me a lot. I take my pool chemistry very seriously but will be following your ways this year on products ETC!
While researching the best programming for my variable speed pump to run more efficiently I believe that my pump is too big and the filter is too small. My water stays pretty clean, but the filter needs to be back washed a lot (our two golden doodles constantly swim in the pool. We constantly have a very fine grit that looks like sand in the creases of the liner which I believe might be from too many GPM through the filter.
My pool is not saltwater so it does not have a generator and I'm not sure what the term is for that.
Pump- Pentair SuperMax VS 1.5 HP
Filter - Hayward sand s-200-x (200 pounds)
Pool - 36x18 Vinyl 28,000 Gallons
