I am a newer pool owner and this is my first season with a pool. I came here and found out the right way to care for my pool. I follow the advice I have received and have no problems with my pool chemistry and my pool sparkles.
I have a recurring issue with a dead spot in my pool though. I have included my awesome art skills with a drawing of my pool. My pool goes from 3 ft to 8 ft from left to right in the drawing. The red box is the skimmer in the shallow end. The shallow end return jet is a standard eyeball that can be rotated left to right. The deep end return has an elbow and it can be rotated 360 degrees.
As of now, I point the shallow end jet towards the skimmer, and the deep end jet straight down and out into the deep end. I have a almost constant dead spot which is the red circle. I have tried to position the deep end return more to the left and down, which ends up with a dead spot in the deep end, and to the right and down which just pushes the dead spot up towards the shallow end more.
It makes sense to me that stuff is collecting as the water is going up a downward slope, also there is no main drain. I don't know much about circulation. I should mention this is the way the previous owner had the jets and I have tried to tweak them. Am i doing it wrong or is there a better way to do my pools circulation?
