Hello and great site.
I think my yard was the dumping ground for every rock in the sub-division when the house was made. I am in SW Va and have clay soil(if it can be called that) and at least 10-20 rocks per foot of digging. I've read up alot and am trying to not disturb the soil as I attempt leveling but I dont think that will be possible. I'm getting ready to order some type of bottom pad for liner protection but would really like some advice on leveling a PITA(Pain in the ...) yard.
Even choosing the flattest part of the yard I still need to dig down the high side about 6 inches. A tiller is the only way I can get this done and know I'll need to tamp the area after. Anyone done this successfully or are there other methods that I've missed? Does the ground need to be fully level or does the sand take care of irregularities?
Im looking for advice or tips or a stiff drink
.
PS - Whoever put the "setup on 45 minutes" on the Intex boxes should be fired, it's just mean
EDIT: Intex Metal frame 15x48
