Changing sand on my filter, I checked my laterals and cleaned them out etc and reloaded sand.
Top would not go on again- stand pipe too high.
Suctioned out sand, tried again. Got half way, checked - and voila, too high again.
Suctioned out a third time. Centred stand pipe.
Now- before I put in sand a 3rd time - is there a trick to keeping it down? I had my husband help me. I will hold it while he shovels sand in, again.
How do I keep this thing down?
BONUS- I followed instructions and filled filter half way before adding sand. I’m losing my mind and my back is pretty sore.
