Help please

Hi everyone,

My wife and I just bought a home with a 20,000 gallon gunite pool. We won't be moved in completely for another week, but we've been visiting our new home daily. I ordered chemicals and a testing kit that will be delivered in 3 days. There are leaves and debris on the bottom of the pool and I can see faint signs of algae starting to grow. My question is, what can I do to stop the algae growth from getting any worse until my test kit and chemicals arrive? I've been skimming surface leaves and such daily. I've attached a photo of the current condition of my pool and my pump equipment.

Thanks in advance!

I'd dump 2 gallons of 8.25% bleach in it daily if they will allow you to circulate it for a while before kit arrives. Did you see our recommended test kit list in Pool School? Welcome. ( and I see a dip net hanging on the fence)
