HELP! - No Filter Pressure and Cannot Vacuum - No Suction

Hi all,

My pump is about 12 years old. All was fine until I vacuumed debris and the filter basket plugged. Not my first rodeo. Cleaned it out and pulled next to nothing out by the impeller. Now I have no pressure on filter and just a bit more on recirculate. I cannot vacuum in that there is no suction. I have backwashed several times. All hoses are clear and full. What the ….?!?

So one of two things comes to mind for me:
1 - Even though you cleared the strainer pot basket, something still slipped though into the pump volute area. I can't tell from the pic and your description is blank, but is that a Hayward PowerFlo Matrix or similar pump? If so, the pump pot is only held on by a retaining ring inside. You may consider trying to separate that a bit more to see if some junk got past the impeller or is wrapped on the backside of it.
2 - The other thing I though of, which may be more of a stretch, if that perhaps some junk made it completely past the pump but got jammed up in the multiport valve. So if the pump is clear, you may consider lifting the top off the MPV to check.

In a set up as simple as yours there can't be much more to check.
