Help identifying what tree these are coming from ?

I get tons of these n my pool this time of year, hoping someone can identify what tree they might be free? Not even sure the tree is on my property... Location is Midwest/Illinois, if that helps.

(they remind me of look like extra-big rice krispies from the cereal. Most are 1/2" to 1" long and maybe 1/4" wide)

Makes sense then.. I have a ton of white pines and red pines tht are 70-100ft. Do you know if yours are white or reds? Do you get them in the pool too? I thought pine needles were the only concern with the pines but now it seems like they shed rice krispies too in June, ugh.

Not sure if they're reds or whites. They are very mature and appear to have been topped at some point. Luckily, my pines are on the opposite side of the property. You can see a bit of a mess on my driveway, but I can live with that.
