Ok, I have learned my lesson, I'll close sooner next year!! I almost closed it, but I was worried it was too warm/too soon, and then I got hit with an algae plague I can't get fully cleared up, and it's going to freeze tonight (and tomorrow night). It's going to be under freezing from midnight till 10 am tomorrow, going all the way down to 25 degrees. Do i need to worry about my filter and pump and hoses tonight? What if I just keep it running so the water is moving?
It will warm back up again later this week (upper 70s and even going to hit 80), so I have time to get things right before its consistently cold, but I'm worried what all I need to do for the next 2 nights.
At first it was only going to freeze one night so I was going to bring in my pump and filter for the night, but now its 2 nights so I'm thinking more/overthinking, Do i bring it in both nights and hook it back up during the day to work on filtering? Let it go for a day? Not worry about it at all just keep it running? I hate to ignore the pool for a whole day and take 3 steps backwards in my cleaning efforts. (I have a lot of trees around me).
Am I worrying over nothing? Or do I definitely need to bring this thing inside? Its not heavy or anything, the hardest part will be blocking the skimmer, its hard to get the plug in from standing outside the pool.
TIA!
