My pool is covered with mesh cover and pool company cannot open until June 18th in Virginia. A month later than usual but I HAVE to go with this date. Not debatable. What should I do in the meantime so it's not a nightmare at opening (or what should a pool company do if I can't). I am DISABLED. THANK YOU.

Do you have the capability to unfasten a few places where the cover is attached? I ask because perhaps you could use those areas to slowly pour small amounts of chlorine into the pool. You have plaster so it's not as critical as vinyl, but then you would want to stir-up the water a bit with a brush if possible. Another option is if you have a submersible pump, you could drop that into the water and add bleach there. That would probably be better.

Thanks - I don't, but I wonder if someone could do for me.

Possibly. Depends on your network of friends or neighbors. But if you have, or know anyone who does have, a submersible pump, that would be the easiest way to move some water and chlorine around.
