Hi! My husband and I moved into our house 2 years ago and we have yet to get our pool right. He has tried for the last 2 summers and is fed up so, this is my year, and I intend to get it right!! (and keep it that way). But I need help. I've read the ABC's in pool school, but I really need to have my hand held through this process. I was ready to go to a pool store and trust them to walk me through it, but after finding this forum, I've decided that's probably the worst thing I can do. We had a pool guy come out twice last summer and well, it was a waste of money. So, if you can help me show my husband "who's boss"
, I'd be so appreciative!!
First things first, I'm fairly certain I just need to get the water to the right level. BUT, before I add water, should I get the debris out or does it really matter? It's getting GREENER by the day!!
Also, we have a cartridge filter (not sand) and it seems like a pain in the butt, do I need to consider purchasing a sand filter? I'd rather not spend the money, but if it makes a substantial difference, I'd be willing to look into it.
Included are pictures of the pool, filter, and pump.
