Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and pool ownership. My wife and I made the decision to get a pool this past winter, and only a couple of weeks after installation we're thrilled we did.
The whole family has been enjoying the pool as well as friends. While the install is complete, one thing that hasn't happened yet is training on all of the equipment. We've figured out turning the pump on/off, using the lights, cleaning the skimmer box, and using the vacuum, but don't know a lot about the sand filter, SWG, etc. We're hoping to have our installer back in the next few days to get the loose ends tied up and give us the rundown.
While browsing around for pool games and toy ideas I happened upon the forum, and after reading a number of posts from some of the great members here, I'm planning on being back often to make sure I'm doing things the right way. The only advice we got from our installer thus far was to shock it when it looked a little cloudy, and as it is now the water looks pretty clear. I've ordered the TF-100 test kit, which will be delivered Friday. I'm anxious to use it and get the real story of where it is at.
Here are some pictures of our little backyard oasis!
